New Captain For The `New Era

Bobby Kasanga13 Feb - 23:38

Meet Dan Atkinson

With the mass exodus of the first team players after the departure of Manager Ernest Eghan, the club have moved swiftly t to find replacements to fulfil the squad. We have made 20 new signings in a week, mixing youth and experience.

Within all the chaos comes the calm in new club Captain Dan Atkinson. He may not be a familiar name but he was actually promoted to the first team in Ernest's last game coming off the bench. A combative midfielder he deserved his promotion to the first team is now leading the generation of The Wickers. This is what Dan da to say:

It’s a real honour and blessing to captain The Wick until the end of the season. Despite big changes at the club, we’ve got a squad full of quality, and I’m confident we can finish strong this season'

Dan joins a whole host of new players including Shane Johnson from Corinthian Casual, Romario Gittens from Edgware and Kingsbury, Adeshinayo Awoniyi from Lewisham Borough, Hector Beto from Saffron Walden, Reumu Abutoh from Enfield Borough, Enrico Picci and Stanley Adjei both from AS London. This was added to a mixture of young, hungry untested players but tomorrow we will see what they are made of.

Still with the club are Joshua Mosope Olorunishola, Eman Mosope Oguntuga, Kleinti Loufi and Andreu Valencia Cedeño
