ISSA SIDIBE DEPARTS HACKNEY WICK FC

ISSA SIDIBE DEPARTS HACKNEY WICK FC

All-Time Top Goalscorer Moves to Tilbury FC

Hackney Wick FC can confirm that Issa Sidibe has left the club to join Tilbury FC. Issa departs as a true modern great of the Wickers — our all-time top goalscorer with 45 goals, a key figure in our success, and a player who will forever be part of this club’s history.

Despite interest from several clubs across the non-league pyramid, Tilbury secured his signature, and we wish Issa every success in the next chapter of his career.

A Wicker Who Made History

Since arriving at the club, Issa has been a constant threat, a fan favourite, and a player capable of changing games in an instant. His goalscoring record speaks for itself, but his impact stretches far beyond the numbers.

Issa played a central role in winning promotion and securing a cup double last season, leading the line with power, pace, and clinical finishing. Some of the most iconic moments in recent Hackney Wick history have come from his boots — late winners, derby goals, cup drama, and match-changing performances that lifted the team when it mattered most.

A Leader, a Warrior, a Wicker

Whether scoring hat-tricks, pressing defenders, or inspiring the younger players around him, Issa embodied the spirit of Hackney Wick FC. His passion for the badge, his connection with supporters, and his drive to push the club forward earned him the respect of everyone inside the Simarco Stadium.

Everyone at Hackney Wick FC — players, staff, volunteers, supporters, and the community we represent — thanks Issa Sidibe for his incredible contribution to the club.

He leaves with our full respect, appreciation, and best wishes for the future. We hope to welcome him back to the Simarco Stadium soon — and he will always be remembered as a Wickers legend.

Once a Wicker, always a Wicker.
